Compostable food vacuum bags are embossed and suitable for external bag vacuum sealers. They can be used in you vacuum sealer in exactly the same way normal bags are used and can be recycled at the end of there use by Industrial composting. Certified as home compostable by the Australian bioplastics association to Australian standard AS 5810. So, they can be composted at home also. They are food safe and tested, BPA free, they can be used in the fridge or freezer. This is a sustainable option for your next food vacuum sealer bags.

IMPORTANT NOTE -

All compostable bags and rolls have a shelf life of about 4 - 5 years and then they will start breaking down and become unusable. It is important to know how old the compostable vacuum sealer bags are when you purchase them.

If you are worried about the environment and single use plastics then this is an option for you. You can still use your vacuum sealer to keep your food fresher 5 times longer, they will also eliminate freezer burn in the freezer. The compostable food vacuum bags are commercially compostable which takes 3 - 6 months. So, when you are done with the bag you can send it to your recycling center if they process industrial composting. Or you can compost them at home which takes 12 - 18 months depending on the environment in your compost bin. The bags can be re-used the same as normal bags, just cut open close to the seal, clean it if needed and re-use it.
