Compostable food vacuum rolls are embossed and suitable for external bag vacuum sealers. Compostable food vacuum rolls can be used in you vacuum sealer in exactly the same way normal bags are used and can be recycled at the end of there use by commercial composting which takes 3 - 6 months or Home composting which takes 12 - 18 months. Certified as home compostable by the Australian bioplastics association to Australian standard AS 5810. They are food safe and tested, BPA free, they can be used in the fridge or freezer. This is a sustainable option for your next food vacuum sealer rolls.

Important note -

All compostable rolls have a shelf life of 4 - 5 years and then they will start breaking down and become unusable. It is important to know how old your composable rolls are when you purchase them.

Both of our 28 cm and 20 cm compostable rolls were manufactured in Feb 2024 and have a shelf life until late 2028

If you are worried about the environment and single use plastics then this is an option for you. You can still use your vacuum sealer with Compostable food vacuum rolls to keep your food fresher 5 times longer, they will also eliminate freezer burn in the freezer. When you are done with the Compostable food vacuum rolls, ideally they are commercially compostable and you should send them to your recycling center if they process industrial composting. Commercial composting will take 3 - 6 months where home composting will take 12 months or more. If you are home composting then cut the Compostable food vacuum rolls up in to small pieces and add them to your compost pile. The bags can be re-used the same as normal bags, just cut open close to the seal, clean it if needed and re-use it.
