Bacon has a lot of liquid in it so here is a tip on how to stop that liquid entering the seal area and the vacuum sealer itself. Buy stopping the liquid you will get a much better seal and avoid damage to your vacuum sealer. Supermarket bacon seems to be worse than bacon from our butcher

Vacuum sealing T Bone with a sharp bone.

If you vacuum seal a T Bone or chops that have a particularly sharp bone, then it is very possible that you will put a hole in the bag and the vacuum will let go. So here is a very simple way of protecting the bag and keeping it vacuumed.
